Troma classics The Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke ‘Em High will be featured movies at The Prytania Theatre in New Orleans this weekend, April 8th and 9th. FREE signatures and photo opportunities with Lloyd Kaufman and Toxie!

The legendary 100 year old Prytania Theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana will be hosting Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger plus screenings of two classic films by Troma Entertainment this weekend, April 8th and 9th. The Tromasterpieces on the bill are the original director cut versions of The Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke ‘Em High, it was announced today by Elizabeth D’Ambrosio, spokesperson for Troma Entertainment.

Both films will be followed by a Q & A with director Lloyd Kaufman, who will be available for signing FREE autographs and FREE photo opportunities with audience members.

Troma fans and curious newcomers will be afforded the rare opportunity to see the two celebrated movies on the big screen. The Toxic Avenger, hilarious and unprecedented 1984 hit action-comedy by Kaufman that inspired 3 sequels as well as a hit cartoon series is scheduled to show on Friday, April 8th at 10 PM. Mr. Kaufman will host a Q & A after the movie.

Class of Nuke ‘Em High is Saturday, April 9th’s featured film, which will also be shown in the 10 pm slot at the Prytania Theatre. 2016 marks the 30th anniversary of Class of Nuke ‘Em High, which also spun three sequels plus a recent addition to the series, Lloyd Kaufman’s 2013 release, Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1 and the soon to be released work-in-progress, Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 2. There is a Q & A scheduled after the movie.
