Troma Entertainment announced today that it has signed an agreement with the New York City based D.I.Y/punk clothing and music brand Мишка (“Mishka”) to feature its clothing designs in Lloyd Kaufman’s latest feature film, Return to Nuke ‘Em High. “Fendi, Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen; none of these so-called leading fashion designers come close to touching the originality and ingenuity of Mishka’s clothing,” said Troma president Lloyd Kaufman. “Just as Troma creates movies of the future, Mishka designs clothing of the future. Therefore, we thought Mishka clothing would fit perfectly into Return to Nuke ‘Em High.”

From Mishka:

A New York City fixture since 2003, Мишка (“Mishka,” or “bear cub” in Russian) clawed their own path through the often homogenous streetwear world, beginning humbly as a small t-shirt upstart and maturing into a full blown cut & sew powerhouse. Founded by Mikhail Bortnik and Greg Rivera, Мишка is synonymous in the industry with creativity and originality, consistently inspiring-and often offending-with designs that manifest the brand’s D.I.Y./punk ethos.

Part of their all encompassing approach to the brand’s aesthetic is a healthy and ever-cultivated relationship with music. Once the clothing side of the brand was well established, Mikhail and Greg quickly expanded into releasing music, whether it be in collaboration with other labels or on the in-house Мишка Records. With each passing year, Мишка’s involvement in the music, and most notable hip-hop scene, grows. Whether it be the smash-hit debut mixtapes from Das Racist (Sit Down, Man, and Shut Up, Dude), Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire’s Lost In Translation, or their series of 7” singles with artists like Loose Tights and Mater Suspiria Vision, Мишка is making its mark on the New York music landscape.

Мишка continues to be the brand to trust for the utmost in quality and design, with a deft infusion of forward-thinking nostalgia that continues to influence the influencers. Мишка’s collections are available worldwide in only the finest shops and online boutiques.

Premiere punk, rockabilly, pin-up, and rock-n-roll clothing designer/retailer Too Fast Apparel has also inked a deal regarding Lloyd Kaufman’s latest feature film, Return to Nuke ‘Em High. With a variety of styles as original as the film itself, Too Fast’s clothing will be seen throughout the movie on a variety of characters, including the unique Cretin Army. “We were considering Diane Von Furstenberg and Karl Lagerfeld,” Troma President Lloyd Kaufman explained, “but when the much superior Too Fast came along, we were honored to work with them.”

Founded in 2005 as a D.I.Y operation by Maureen Keough, Too Fast Brand has been unwavering in its love for the music, the clothing, and the ethos of a punk rock lifestyle. Utilizing a unique ability to speak to the past, present, and future of alternative culture, we have established ourselves in the past six years as one of the most competitive brands in underground fashion. Welcome to Tromaville High School where, unfortunately, the glee club has mutated into hideous Cretins. Chrissy and Lauren, two innocent lovers-bloggers, must fight not only mutants and monsters but also the evil Tromorganic Foodstuffs Conglomerate. Will they save Tromaville High School and the world?
